Contracts signed at NADA
In-house · Ikon Technologies
Situation
In-house at Ikon Technologies. The company averaged just 4 contracts per tradeshow. No demand gen existed; it relied entirely on outbound cold calling with 70% demo no-show rates.
Task
Build inbound lead gen from scratch and drive measurable contract volume at NADA, the company's key industry tradeshow.
Action
Designed an integrated omni-channel campaign across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and email. Built ABM infrastructure with lead scoring, ICPs, and automated nurture flows targeting attendees.
Result
4 contracts → 97 contracts signed at NADA. Monthly leads up 310% YoY. Demo no-shows down 70%.

CAC reduction
In-house · Spiffy
Situation
In-house at Spiffy. B2C CAC sat at $52/customer, while B2B CPL was $181/lead. Unit economics were unsustainable for scaling either segment.
Task
Reduce acquisition costs across both B2C and B2B segments while maintaining or growing lead volume.
Action
B2C: Continuous campaign and landing page A/B testing across Meta, TikTok, and SEM with CPL-focused optimization. B2B: Strategic audience and keyword refinement to drive efficiency at scale.
Result
B2C CAC: $52 → $16 (70% reduction). B2B CPL: $181 → $57 with lead volume up 3x on the same budget.

Bookings in month one
Client · Petroglyph Ceramics
Situation
Multi-location pottery studio had run Google Ads before with no conversion tracking and no measurable results. CTR sat at ~2% at launch.
Task
Build a data-first Google Ads engine from scratch with proper tracking, and drive bookings across 6 locations on a $600/mo budget.
Action
Set up GTM, GA4, and conversion events across website and Shopify. Restructured keywords, shifted bidding from Maximize Clicks to Maximize Conversions, and expanded to Display and Search Partners.
Result
Monthly bookings up 210% in month one. 112 table bookings, 28 phone clicks and 12 gift card checkouts. CTR went from 2% to 18% in two months.

Conv. rate growth
Client · Nopal Cyber
Situation
Nopal Cyber's Google Ads had a 0.49% conversion rate at start of 2025. LinkedIn CTR was 0.71%. Campaigns were budget-limited but underperforming.
Task
Maximize conversions and contact generation across Google and LinkedIn while maintaining or reducing budgets.
Action
Reduced target CPA, refined keyword structure, paused underperforming terms, and ran continuous audience and ad testing.
Result
Conversion rate: 0.49% → 3.61% (7x). LinkedIn CTR: 0.71% → 3.48%. Contacts up 55% (92 → 143) despite budget cuts.

Google Ads Meta Lower-funnel tracking Zapier Salesforce

The situation

CardFlight's ads could only see the top of the funnel. Applications, approvals and activations happened in other systems, so Google and Meta were optimizing blind. The team had lived with that gap for years.

What I did

  • Implemented lower-funnel conversion tracking for applications, approvals and activations.
  • Connected the key systems through Zapier so downstream events flow back to the ad platforms.
  • Moved campaign and budget decisions onto lower-funnel data instead of form fills.

Three steps to pipeline.

01 _diagnose

I audit the funnel

I map every touchpoint from ad click to closed deal, find where leads and money drop off, and put a number on what it's costing you.

02 _build

I ship the engine

I launch the campaigns, build the landing pages and wire the tracking into your CRM myself, so every result is measured end to end.

03 _optimize

We compound the gains

Weekly optimization, testing and budget shifts toward what's working, with you seeing exactly why each change was made.

Results, not reports.

Questions I get a lot.

What does Cut The Lag actually do?

Cut The Lag is my practice. I find where your funnel leaks and fix it: performance marketing on Google, Meta and LinkedIn, conversion tracking that connects ad clicks to closed deals in your CRM, demand generation and ABM in HubSpot or Salesforce, and landing pages that convert. You get the strategy and the hands-on execution from the same person: me.

Who do you work with?

Two kinds of businesses: small and local businesses whose ads have to pay for themselves, and B2B SaaS companies that need qualified pipeline, not a pile of MQLs.

How does an engagement usually start?

With an audit. I map your tracking, spend and conversion path from ad click to closed deal, then hand you a prioritized fix list. From there you can have me fix it, run it month to month, or take the list and run with it yourself.

Why do you start with tracking?

Because Google and Meta can only optimize to what you tell them to count. If they only see form fills, they'll find you more form fills. Fixing Enhanced Conversions, the Conversions API and CRM events first makes every dollar after that work harder.

What people say.

What clients, managers and colleagues say about working with me.

Faysul strengthened our measurement foundation by implementing lower-funnel conversion tracking for applications, approvals, and activations, connecting key systems through Zapier, and improving the data available for campaign and budget decisions. He clearly understands that successful paid acquisition requires more than campaign management: it depends on sound measurement, ongoing testing, strong positioning, and a workable end-to-end funnel.

Marketing leader at CardFlight — client
He's incredibly analytical, but not in a way that slows things down — he uses data to actually move things forward. He has a deep understanding of paid media and the full customer journey, and is always thinking about how everything connects rather than optimizing in silos. He asks smart questions, catches things others miss, and consistently turns insights into action. Beyond that, he's just great to work with. Collaborative, engaged, thoughtful, and brings a really positive energy to the team. Would work with him again in a heartbeat.
